Prestigious Chelsea gallery is looking for an experienced individual to handle Sales. Experience in secondary market is a plus. Great people to work with. 

Salary: $50-60K plus commission. 

Executive Assistant to Gallery Director

Well established high-end gallery assisting the owner. They are looking for someone to be a right-hand person. Must wear a lot of hats. Must know the art business and have solid experience.  Excellent PC skills. Strong communication skills. Salary is depending upon experience, starting at 55K and going up. 

Executive Assistant to President

Executive Assistant to President, contemporary gallery. Previous experience in similar industry. Excellent computer skills. Five years minimum experience. Must have art gallery experience.

Gallery Office Manager

Office Manager plus some sales experience necessary. Salary is open depending upon experience. Large Chelsea gallery has a diversified opening. Needs an individual who can handle diversified responsibilities. Excellent communication and PC skills necessary. Needs someone to do some selling. Would like prior experience. Executive Assistant to Owner

High profile contemporary gallery has an exciting position available to work for their number one person.  Will get involved with the artists (they are world famous), exhibitions, international art fairs, and famous high profile clients. Must be extremely organized and have the ability to work under pressure.

Must have a minimum of 5 years administrative experience in a gallery, auction house, museum or art organization.

This gallery offers many many perks.

Depending upon experience will pay up to $60K.

Internationally known Auction House is actively looking to fill one of their top positions in NY.      Successful candidate must have at least 8 years of executive level experience in the Contemporary Art Market and be free for a lot of traveling.  

Salary completely open and includes bonus, 401K etc.

Gallery Assistant

My client, a very well-known Contemporary gallery, has a position available for a recent college grad (degree in either Art History or Fine Art).  You will be assisting the Director (very nice!) and also the Owner with many diversified responsibilities- both administrative and research.

You must have experience with Mac, be comfortable speaking with clients and (very important) at least an internship within the New York Art community.

This position is Tuesday through Saturday and offers full medical benefits.  Job is available because the last person was promoted!!

GALLERY MANAGER

Very hip, cutting-edge Chelsea gallery is looking to hire an experienced (minimum of 4 years) Gallery Manager/ Art Preparator who can schedule staff, oversee interns and front desk, interface with IT systems (must be proficient in that area), and serve as primary contact for all service vendors.  All facilities responsibilities are included.  Will work closely with their Registrar and Production Manager to assist in all art handling responsibilities and installation of artwork for client presentations.  This gallery is expanding rapidly and seeks someone who welcomes personal growth and increased responsibility.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role within the Art World and the ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a fast paced environment.

Sales Relations

Downtown antique dealer (American/European vintage furniture, antiques and lighting) is looking for someone with at least 5 years experience in Sales. Clients are primarily interior designers, architects and prominent collectors.  Need someone who really enjoys Sales, is very knowledgeable of 20th century furniture and antiques and has a good understanding of how a top gallery operates.  Very unique pieces and very high prices!  Extremely nice owner and friendly staff!

Salary is up to $85,000

Gallery Director

World-renown contemporary gallery with a huge and respected reputation is looking for a Director to assist them moving to a new level of success and expansion. Oversee a growing staff. Work closely with Owner (terrific!) with Curating, Artist Relations and Sales, of course ! 

This gallery requires someone with a very strong knowledge of the Contemporary Art market and excellent social skills. 

At least 5 years as the Director for a well-known, successful NY Gallery or Auction house or Advisory company is required.

 

Gallery Assistant                                  $35K

Well-known gallery specializing in Postwar Contemporary on the Upper East Side has a brand-new position due to recent growth!  They are moving to a very large (3 floors) brownstone!  The requirements are the following: Degree in Art History and at least 6 months experience in a NY gallery, strong computer skills including Photoshop. Responsibilities are very diverse, lots to learn!

Registrar/Gallery Associate 

Mid-town contemporary gallery is looking for a Registrar with at least 2 years experience with either a gallery or museum.  They'd like someone who is flexible to wear other hats occasionally.  Must have knowledge of at least one foreign language.
